DroneSinger The world's #1 creator of parody songs about drones — bringing STEAM education, music and edutainment to your school or event.
Victor Villegas, aka DroneSinger, is a bilingual STEAM edutainer, singer-songwriter, and teaching artist who uses technology, music, and puppetry to get kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
WHAT I BRING TO YOUR SCHOOL
Live, engaging STEAM assemblies that actually stick
I don't lecture — I edutain. Every program blends real science and engineering concepts with original music, humor, puppetry, and storytelling, so kids remember the lesson because they remember the show.
Bilingual & Bicultural (Spanish/English) Fully bilingual programming that welcomes every student in the room — built for schools serious about equity and representation.
Science, Story & Song Original songs, poems, and stories covering environmental justice, sustainability, and conservation, alongside core STEAM content.
PROGRAMS
All-School Assembly STEAM performances and presentations. An engaging music assembly introducing STEAM concepts through original songs and live demonstrations.
Workshops
Hands-on, small-group sessions — bookable individually or as an add-on to an assembly. No prior experience necessary for any of them.
STEAM Poetry/Songwriting Workshop
Using practices from science and research, and DroneSinger's special STEAM Train template, students learn how to create poems and songs about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, or any other topic they're already studying. No prior musical knowledge or experience needed.
"I've Got Rhythm!" Music Workshop
Students learn all about percussion instruments, the science of sound, and how to create and play their own rhythms using body percussion. No instruments or prior music knowledge needed. A follow-up session on building simple percussion instruments is also available.
Wonderful World of Puppetry Workshop
Students explore the history and art of puppetry, discover different types of puppets, and learn how puppets are used for communication, education, and entertainment. A variety of puppets are available to try out and explore. A follow-up session on building simple puppets is also available.
Biosonification Workshop Students create music by connecting sensors to plants, fruits, and vegetables and hooking them up to synthesizers. Sensors and electronic synthesizers are provided during the session.
Virtual Assembly Available for schools outside my regular travel area — full-energy livestreamed or pre-recorded programs with live Q&A.
ABOUT VICTOR
Hi, I'm Victor Villegas — musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and STEAM edutainer and teaching artist based in Salem, Oregon.
I use technology, music, humor, puppetry, and storytelling to spark curiosity in kids and help them find what they're passionate about. I'm best known as the world's #1 creator of parody songs about drones, but my work goes further: original songs, poems, and stories about environmental justice, sustainability, conservation, and science communication, plus a deep focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
I'm fully bilingual and bicultural (Spanish/English), and I especially love working with under-served and under-represented youth.
My Mission
Spark kids' interest in learning, help them find their passion, and show them what's possible when science and art meet.
